Being Thankful

Hello, one and all!

For those of us in America (and perhaps other parts of the world as well), it's the time of year when we celebrate Thanksgiving, a lovely holiday that may have somewhat dubious origins, but ultimately, good intentions. It's the time of year when we pause, take stock of the people and blessings that surround us, and express our thankfulness for their presence.

Sanctuary in Time started out as the little game that could. It's my first game, and I honestly didn't know how people would react to it. I started building it later in life, when I'd almost given up hope of ever creating a game of my own. Not because I couldn't, but because I was afraid to try. But I kept chipping away at that dream, little by little, tutorial by tutorial, until I finally broke through my own self-imposed limitations and came through the other side.

Now the game is not only a reality, it's a best-seller on Itch! And it's been downloaded and played by thousands of people around the world. I've seen players from Norway, Australia, Germany, Brazil, you name it! And that's more than I could have possibly hoped for, especially for the first-time effort of a self-taught, solo developer.

Sanctuary in Time may not be the most advanced or sophisticated piece of software out there, but I'm proud of what I've created and I am deeply, deeply thankful for each and every one of you who have played the game and chosen to support my efforts in some way.  Whether you've just enjoyed the free version and left a nice comment, or bought the Complete Edition and left a five-star review, or joined my Patreon and blessed me with ongoing support, I am thankful for all you, no matter how you choose to contribute. Your amazing and creative feedback has also been a constant source of inspiration, and I thank you for that as well.

So, rejoice and be merry! It's that time of year. And no matter where you live, I wish you the happiest of Thanksgivings!

Warmest regards,

Max (Novus Operandi)
